Te Ringa Kaha a Turake
Turake was the chief who appointed his nephews to four different fortified positions of Tamaki Nui A Rua. Thus Te Ringa Kaha was established! Their primary objective was to safeguard and protect the people and the land of Tamaki Nui A Rua and throughout Te Tapere Nui o Whātonga.
